Hippy Jim Sloan is a long haired, 50 something, guitar strumming Papa of nine grandkids, Harley riding, songwriting, animal loving retired Army veteran. Jim is a Pensacola based artist with roots buried deep in music. From church choir to school band to working as an on-air radio personality, music has always played a major role in Jim's life. He left the corporate scene in 2015 to pursue a music career full time and has been averaging over 240 shows a year, becoming a favorite staple at many Gulf Coast Venues. In addition to powerful and sometimes haunting vocals, Jim engages the crowd with stories behind the music that he performs and episodes from his musical journey. Hippy Jim’s set lists are a mix of hand-crafted originals as well as covers of country, rock, pop, soul, and blues favorites spanning the generations.
